I never thought I'll be back in Jockey Club. It was a good thing I asked my mom yesterday if we're going to JC again. I was happy, uhm, make that ecstatic, when I found out that yes, we're definitely going back.

Gad, I didn't know how I did, you know survive and all, those past two weeks without Internet, even PC, or a cellphone. I've been hooked to those gadgets so much that I think I underwent withdrawal symptoms when I moved to the US. I got fatter, not only of the foods, but because I got nothing to do so the tendency is to eat and sleep. Besides that I've been reading books to pass the time. But then, I'm sitting when I'm reading so that means no calories burning. Bummer! I just hope I'll be able to lose those pounds again.

I went to a casino yesterday. Asked my mom for $15 (of course at first it was only $5 so imagine my expression, good thing though a friend convinced her to give me more...hehehe!) Of course I don't know anything about poker and what game was that, with those colored chips and those people who deal them or something? Anyway, just went to a slot machine (Yeah, yeah it's pathetic, I know.) and guess what? I lost all of the money. It's not much really but still, I lost.

But then, I was having such a fab time yesterday, not to mention, I was feeling lucky. So what I did was I got another $20 and started walking around the casino until I found some slots machine that I would like to try. Eventually, I won some credits. I didn't want to waste 'em all so I just pushed the button Cash/Credit. Actually I didn't know what that button was. I was just curious I guess, that's why I pushed it. Out came 20 coins or so. Looking behind me, I found a Change booth. I went over and asked the clerk if I could change the coins to money. Much to surprise, yun na pala yun! When you win enough credits, withdraw 'em and then change 'em to money! So to end a long story, I got $47, won back what I lost plus an additional fee. Not bad eh?

Eventually though I thought why not gamble a lil more? So I took out just the $2 (para alang butal) and used 'em. Of course, I lost. A lot of people, including my mom, said, "Once you win, stop gambling." Good advice. Good thing it was just $2. But I wonder, what Neil Gaiman said about casinos, it's probably true. Tell you that later.

Anyway I guess it's time to go. Time to go shopping. I just hope my mom won't go kuripot on me.
